Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026 · Version 2026-08-07

This Privacy Policy explains how Rock Local Media Group, Inc., operator of Local Service Rep (“LSR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Local Service Rep website, progressive web application, subscriptions, support, and related services.

1. Our role

For subscriber account, billing, signup, security, and support information, Rock Local Media Group, Inc. determines why and how the information is processed.

For information a subscriber enters about its own customers, employees, technicians, jobs, expenses, invoices, receipts, and similar business records (“Subscriber Data”), the subscriber controls the business purpose and Local Service Rep processes the data to provide the service. Questions from an individual about a subscriber’s records should normally be directed first to that subscriber.

2. Information we collect

Account and subscription information

We collect business name, user name, contact name, email address, telephone number, role and permissions, subscription plan, authorized-user allowance, acceptance records, and account status.

Authentication and security information

We process password hashes, one-time-code records, multi-factor-authentication information for system administrators, recovery-code hashes, session records, IP addresses, browser or device information, timestamps, failed-login information, and security and audit events. We do not store readable account passwords.

Subscriber Data

Depending on how a subscriber uses the service, Subscriber Data may include customer and service-location contact information; equipment and warranty information; appointments; jobs; technician assignments; time entries; notes; mileage; billable items; vendors; expense types; purchases; receipt images; job photos; invoices; payments; refunds; and reports.

Billing and payment-provider information

We maintain subscription, checkout, payment status, refund, provider account identifiers, and reconciliation records. Square and Stripe collect and process payment-card or bank-payment credentials on their own secure services. Local Service Rep does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes.

Communications and support

We collect information submitted in feedback, support requests, email communications, and authorized read-only support sessions, including the stated support reason and audit history.

3. How we use information

  • create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
  • provide application features and maintain tenant separation;
  • send verification codes, invoices, subscription notices, security notices, service communications, and requested support responses;
  • process subscriptions and facilitate subscriber invoice payments through connected providers;
  • generate reports, exports, backups, audit trails, and recovery data;
  • detect abuse, investigate errors, reconcile provider events, and protect the service and its users;
  • improve usability, reliability, support, and product functionality;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.

4. How we disclose information

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, encrypted backup or storage, email delivery, monitoring, and technical-support providers acting for us.
  • Payment providers: Square, Stripe, and related financial partners when a subscriber purchases a subscription, connects an account, accepts an invoice payment, issues a refund, or requests reconciliation.
  • Subscriber-authorized users: information is available according to the business’s roles and permissions.
  • Legal and safety disclosures: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, prevent fraud or harm, protect rights, or investigate security incidents.
  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use Subscriber Data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and local device storage

Local Service Rep uses essential session cookies to maintain secure sign-in and distinguish business and system-administrator sessions. The PWA may use browser storage and a service worker to support installation, interface assets, connectivity behavior, and limited offline functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain account and Subscriber Data while the account is active and for the period described in cancellation, subscription, and retention notices. Retention may continue where reasonably necessary for backup cycles, legal obligations, payment and tax records, audit integrity, security investigations, disputes, and enforcement. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it, de-identify it, or allow protected backup copies to expire according to the applicable cycle.

7. Security

We use safeguards designed for the nature of the service, including access controls, tenant-scoped database operations, secure sessions, hashed credentials and one-time codes, multi-factor authentication for system administration, encryption of selected provider secrets, audit logging, private configuration storage, restricted support access, encrypted off-server backups, and operational monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their credentials, devices, and authorized-user access.

8. Choices and rights

Account administrators can review and update much of their business and user information in the application. Depending on applicable law and our role, an individual may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact support@localservicerep.com. We may need to verify identity and authority. If the request concerns Subscriber Data controlled by a subscriber, we may direct the request to that business or assist it in responding.

Email recipients may reply to support communications or use the contact information below. Essential authentication, billing, security, invoice, and service messages are transactional and may continue while the applicable account or transaction remains active.

9. Children

Local Service Rep is a business service intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you believe a child supplied personal information directly to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. United States processing

The service is operated in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other locations used by our service providers, subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.

11. Security incidents

If we discover a security incident affecting protected information, we will investigate, take reasonable remediation steps, notify affected subscribers or individuals when required, and cooperate with subscribers regarding information they control.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the current version and effective date and provide additional notice when changes are material. Signup records preserve the version accepted at account creation.
